For years, I've made my career opening doors—helping buyers and sellers navigate the fascinating, competitive, and often emotional world of real estate. Along the way, I've discovered that every home has a story, every transaction has its complexities, and appearances don't always tell the whole truth.

After representing hundreds of clients and negotiating more than $275 million in real estate transactions, I've encountered enough unexpected twists, intriguing personalities, and high-stakes situations to appreciate that sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction.

Those experiences sparked an idea: What if the secrets behind a seemingly perfect home were far more dangerous than anyone imagined?

That question became the inspiration for The Shadow Listings, my psychological suspense series exploring the darker side of real estate—where ambition, deception, hidden histories, and carefully guarded secrets collide.

My debut novel, The Backup Offer, marks the beginning of this new chapter, blending my firsthand knowledge of the industry with a lifelong love of storytelling, mystery, and suspense.

Writing under the pen name MKM Jones, I'm bringing readers into a world I know intimately—but with twists and turns that, thankfully, exist only in my imagination.

After a career helping people find their dream homes, I'm having a wonderful time imagining what might be hiding inside them.
